Would you know what to do in an Emergency?

Lifesaver was developed by the Resuscitation Council (UK) combining forces with award-winning production company UNIT9. It was written and directed by BAFTA award-winner Martin Percy, and features the actress Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens).

Lifesaver is a cutting-edge way to learn life-saving skills anytime, anywhere, through four action-packed scenarios. It throws you into the heart of the action as you make the crucial decisions and learn the essential skills needed to save a life.

Why not renew your skills, refresh your knowledge on crucial decisions and learn the essential skills needed to save a life?

Give it a go now;

Emergency Response Training achieve Constructionline Approval and acclaim Accreditation!

Constructionline is a register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants, assessed to ensure that correct commercial, technical and financial competencies are reached.

Following the approval process, we are proud to announce that we have also been accepted and listed on the Places for People Dynamic Purchasing System for Whole House Contractors.

We would like to thank the members of staff who worked tirelessly to compile our submissions and to our clients who kindly assisted in providing references for this successful submission.

Have you seen the new AED signs yet?

The Resuscitating Council (UK) have worked with the British Heart Foundation to develop new and improved AED location signs.

The aim is to ensure more people understand what AEDs are used for and to encourage people to use them.

A supporting information poster has also been designed to reinforce the following key messages:

• Anyone can use an AED – you do not need prior medical first aid training.

• It’s easy to use – just follow the instructions.

• It is for use on an unconscious person who is not breathing normally.

Standard sign for AEDs

The new AED location signs make the following changes to the current one:

• It changes the lightning bolt icon into a stylised ECG heart trace – respondents overwhelmingly said they would be more likely to use a sign with this icon on.

• The description is changed to “Defibrillator – Heart Restarter” – respondents said they thought this term would most encourage them to use the device.

• A supine person was added, showing the suggested placement of the defibrillator pads, to reinforce (by way of a strong visual cue) how the device should be used.

Rigid, laminated copies of both signs are available in our shop
